Delivering a fair deal for Clients

Putting your money to work

In today’s turbulent economic climate, it’s essential that you take the right steps to protect your money and your future security. But arranging and prioritising your personal finances can be complicated and time-consuming. Engaging the help of an expert financial adviser takes the headache out of ensuring that you’re doing the right thing. But with so much at stake, you need to be confident that you choose the right one. You could get financial advice from your bank, but it may not be impartial because each institution offers its own products - and these may not necessarily suit your needs. Accountants, solicitors and stockbrokers can also provide financial advice but, similarly, they will focus on their own areas of expertise. Independent financial advisers such as ProACT Financial, on the other hand, have freedom to recommend and select from all the financial products available in the market place - ensuring that you get the best deal for your money.

A name you can trust

ProACT Financial is widely recognised as a leading provider of quality independent financial advice to both businesses and individuals nationwide: our team of advisers are respected as being amongst the best in the industry. We want our customers to have complete trust in our ability and judgment, and confidence that they will be treated fairly at all times. With this in mind, our Client Charter has been produced to give you an honest picture of what to expect from a working relationship with us.

First-class advice

Each of our experienced advisers is fully qualified, regulated by the Financial Services Authority and able to advise on all aspects of financial planning. In addition, some have particular areas of specialist expertise. We will ensure that you are teamed up with an adviser who is best suited to your requirements. But whoever you work with and whatever your needs, you can be sure you will benefit from first-class advice. All of our staff and advisers are well-trained to provide a first-class service to you. If we feel there are other professionals who can offer better advice in specific areas, such as solicitors for writing wills and trusts, we will put you in touch, recognising that you have complete freedom to instruct another professional of your choice if you wish to do so.

Responding to your needs

It is essential that we understand your financial goals if we are to give you the best advice. That means we require you to give us honest and accurate information about your finances. In return we will, above all, listen, and then discuss your needs and priorities with you. Your adviser will then carry out a thorough review of available products in the market place, select the most appropriate, and clearly set out their recommendations for you in writing. He or she will provide whatever information you may need to clarify any queries or concerns. Our advice will be completely objective: it will reflect what we believe to be the best solutions for you at that time and, most importantly, enable you to make an informed choice. If you choose to proceed with the recommended transactions, your adviser will liaise with the relevant product providers and assist you with all the necessary paperwork.

Long-term support

Your relationship with your adviser need not simply end after your initial consultation. We can provide you with ongoing support and management of your finances, through a regular review process, so that you can be sure that your money continues to work hard for you. And you are free to end your relationship with us at any time by giving us written notification, in which case we will complete any transactions still in progress in accordance with your wishes.

Complete confidentiality

It goes without saying, but you can be sure that all information supplied by you will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. The only people to whom it may be disclosed from time to time are our regulators and auditors, solely for the purposes of compliance checks.

In addition, for added security and to comply with money laundering legislation, we will always ask you for proof of your identity before you engage in business with us.

Transparent charging

Unlike some financial advisers, our advice is not influenced entirely by the prospect of commission: we take an impartial view and will also recommend products that earn no commission if we believe that these will provide the best solution for you. You choose whether you pay us a fee for our work or whether we take commission on products arranged for you. In instances where commission is payable, the amount will be disclosed to you in writing before you commit to investing in the relevant product. Amounts vary from product to product. We ask that any payment required for a particular product is made directly by you to the product provider - in that way, you can be confident that you get exactly what you pay for. Where our advice is provided on a fee basis, the amount will be agreed with you in writing before any work takes place - so there will be no unwelcome surprises.

Peace of mind

When you entrust someone with direction of your finances you need to know that should a problem arise, it will be resolved quickly and equitably. You also want reassurance that adequate insurance provisions are in place to ensure you’re not left out of pocket.

With ProACT Financial, you have complete peace of mind. Not only are we regulated by the Financial Services Authority, but we also contribute to the Financial Services Compensation Scheme and participaste in the Financial Ombudsman Service. So, in the unlikely event you have cause for complaint, or we are unable to meet our obligations to you, there is a trusted safety net in place providing effective and clearly documented dispute resolution procedures, and compensation if appropriate.

Recognising your worth

Finally, we recognise that our customers are our most important asset - and we place great importance on protection of our assets. As a result, we are committed to providing you with excellence in everything we do and to looking constantly for new ways of improving our service levels. Our Client Charter is just one step towards delivering a better deal for you.
